Stirling Owen
I have over 12 years’ experience as a commercial litigation lawyer. From very early in my career, I have been drawn to commercial litigation and the challenge of arguing a case in court.
I have represented individuals, SMEs and large corporations in courts across Australia having worked in both Perth and Sydney.
As a general commercial litigator, my cases include a broad range of matters such as business disputes, breaches of contract, negligence, debt collection, insurance disputes and consumer law issues.
Although I was tempted to become a barrister, I have great relationships with clients and referrers that mean a lot to me.
I started Owen Legal to be able to run matters for my clients from the initial consult, through the various stages of litigation and, ultimately, to trial (where appropriate).
More importantly, I was motivated to start Owen Legal to set an example for my two sons. It is important to me that they appreciate that good things come from backing yourself and putting in hard work to pull it off.
Behind the scenes, Owen Legal’s finances and operations are managed by my (extremely lucky) wife, Rhea, who is an experienced and well regarded legal practice manager.
Off the clock, I am involved with my sons’ sport clubs and school as much as possible. I enjoy firing up our pizza oven, staying active and boxing, AFL (Richmond) and F1 (McLaren).
